Bangkok’s energy, Chiang Mai’s depth and the Andaman coast’s release, three distinct chapters with no wasted moves.

Why this route works

It reveals Thailand in the right order.

The city sharpens the senses. The north adds context, craft and landscape. The coast gives everything room to settle. Flights happen at natural breaks, arrival days remain light, and the final four nights belong to one resort, not an island-hopping exercise.

The journey

Eleven days. Three clear chapters.

01

Bangkok

3 nights

Arrive · river · old city · food & design

A traditional Lanna pavilion overlooking the forested mountains around Chiang Mai

02

Chiang Mai

3 nights

Lanna culture · craft · countryside

A private yacht and contemporary resort overlooking a secluded Phuket cove

03

Phuket

4 nights

Private water · wellness · true downtime

  1. 01

    Bangkok

    Arrive softly

Private airport welcome, a direct transfer to the river and an intentionally empty afternoon. Settle in, then ease into Thailand over an unhurried dinner close to the hotel.

  2. 02

    Bangkok

    The river before the crowds

Travel by private boat with a perceptive local guide, reaching Wat Arun and the old city while the light is gentle. Continue through quieter lanes, markets and a lunch chosen around your tastes.

  3. 03

    Bangkok

    A city edited for you

Choose a deeper lens, contemporary art and design, an exacting food itinerary, or architecture and hidden heritage. The evening stays flexible for a chef-led dinner or a night entirely your own.

  4. 04

    Chiang Mai

    North to Lanna country

Fly north after breakfast. Your guide meets you airside, but the day remains deliberately light: a rice-field lunch, time at the pool and sunset at the resort.

  5. 05

    Chiang Mai

    Temples with context

Enter the old city with a guide who makes its living traditions legible, not encyclopedic. Meet craftspeople in their studios and end with a private northern Thai meal.

  6. 06

    Chiang Mai

    The countryside, your way

A choice of forest and village, a serious market-to-table cooking session, or a restorative resort day. The point is not to fill the schedule, it is to follow what has captured you.

  7. 07

    Phuket

    Change pace, not just place

Fly south and go straight to the coast. Nothing is programmed after arrival beyond a considered room orientation, a swim and dinner where the journey naturally slows.

  8. 08

    Phang Nga Bay

    Your own horizon

Board a private yacht early for Phang Nga Bay. The route, lunch and water time are adjusted to conditions, avoiding the busiest channels wherever possible.

  9. 09

    Phuket

    A day with no obligation

Keep the villa and beach entirely to yourselves, or add a wellness ritual, Phuket Old Town, golf or a second boat day. This unscripted space is part of the design.

  10. 10

    Phuket

    A final full day

Return to what you loved most. We can arrange a private final dinner, but resist the urge to turn the last day into a checklist.

  11. 11

    Departure

    Leave well

A private airport transfer timed around your onward flight, with every domestic and international connection considered in advance.

Make it yours

The framework stays. The details move.

  • Add two nights when deeper food, art or wellness matters.
  • Swap the Andaman coast for Koh Samui when the season calls for it.
  • Use residences, connecting rooms and gentler mornings for families.
  • Replace one touring day with a private celebration or completely empty time.

Luxury is also what we leave out.

Do not add another island simply because it fits on a map. Avoid touring immediately after domestic flights. And do not choose the southern stop before checking the weather pattern for your dates.

For peak winter dates, begin early enough to protect the room categories, not just the hotel names, that make the trip work.

Practical questions

Before you choose this journey.

Is 10 nights enough for Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket?

Yes, when the route is limited to these three bases and flight days are kept light. Ten nights is the shortest version we recommend; twelve to fourteen nights adds more genuine downtime without changing the structure.

Is this itinerary suitable for children?

Very much so. We adjust the guide style, start times, room categories and activity mix to the children’s ages. For younger families, we may add a Phuket night and remove one structured touring block.

When is this route at its best?

November through April is the cleanest window when Phuket is the beach finish. Northern Thailand is most comfortable in the cooler months. In other seasons, we may switch the coast rather than force this exact route.

Can the hotels be changed?

Absolutely. These are reference points, not a fixed package. We choose room category, location and service style around the traveler, then build the daily design around those decisions.
