Where to Go

Thailand is not one journey.

The right regions depend on season, pace and purpose. Most exceptional journeys combine two or three, each chosen for the contrast it brings.

The First Decision

Choose chapters, not pins on a map.

Bangkok brings energy and context. The north adds culture, craft and landscape. The coasts create release, but Phuket, Samui and Phang Nga each deliver a different kind of it.

We would rather design three distinct chapters with enough time to inhabit them than six brief stops held together by airports. Geography matters. So do weather, transfer recovery and the simple pleasure of unpacking.

Fourteen Distinct Possibilities

What should each destination do for the journey?

Some offer internationally recognized hotels. Others offer something rarer: a remarkable place, privately interpreted, with honest expectations about the room.

A Useful Starting Rule

Build contrast without building friction.

7–9 nights: Bangkok plus one coast, or Bangkok and Chiang Mai for a culture-led journey.

10–12 nights: Bangkok, the north and one well-chosen coast.

13+ nights: Three strong regions, with a remote extension or second coastal chapter only when it adds genuine contrast.

These are design principles, not fixed packages. Exact routing should follow dates, flights and the traveler.
